What inspires you to write?
I love reading so writing is a natural extension of that passion. I'm usually inspired by a song or snippet of conversation, or perhaps a dream. Sometimes characters just show up in my mind and start talking to me.
Tell us about your writing process.
100% SOTP writer. Occasionally I'll jot down a thought, log-line or even short blurb and work from there but, more often than not I start a project and work in a linear fashion from beginning to end.
How do you develop your characters?
Seldom do I know how the characters will develop. About the only thing I do know is they will have a HEA ending. If my characters aren't talking to me, I'm clueless as to what's happening next in the story. Often they go off on their own adventure and I just transcribe it LOL!
Who are your favorite authors?
Nora Roberts is by far my most favorite secular author
Although I enjoy many others, Francine Rivers and Karen Kingsbury are my favorite Christian authors.
What genres do you write?: Edgy Inspirational Romance and Women's Fiction and Creative non-fiction
What formats are your books in?: eBook, Print

Great interview, Pamela. I’m not a plotter either. I suppose writing that first draft is my way of “plotting”.
Kara O'Neal says
Ha! Your characters take you on a ride, huh? Cool! Love that description.

Pam,
I enjoy reading your novels, particularly because there is more to them than the romance itself.
Alicia Dean says
Enjoyed the interview. I’m in awe of SOTP writers. I MUST have a plot/outline. Best wishes, my friend!

Love this interview. So good to get to know you better, Pam. Like you, my characters reveal themselves as I write, Sometimes, it’s like pulling teeth to get them to open up. Frustrating but so rewarding when I finally get to know them.
