Releasing the past allows acceptance of the future.
Having a terrible name is never easy, but when you’re saddled with it twice, life is destined to be nearly unbearable. Everest Everest knows this all too well. Life in Fog’s Edge has always been a nightmare for her, made worse by her family’s history. Her painful past has taught her that survival depends on her ability to stay invisible. Only now, she’s found herself as a central part of the leadership in town, and with it comes one of the greatest challenges she’s ever faced. Just when she thinks there’s a small spark of hope in her life, the town strikes again.
Eli Fry is trying to overcome more than a childhood nickname now that he’s come back to his hometown. Returning to Fog’s Edge no longer seems like a dead end in his life, but instead, an opportunity to make a real difference for his family, friends, and community. Being home is made even sweeter now that the woman he’s never forgotten is back – if only he can overcome his guilt for causing her so much pain, not to mention getting her to forgive him.
Thrown together on a project that will either bring the town to new heights or destroy it, the two need to learn to work together – for their own sakes as well as that of Fog’s Edge.
