About Peggy Jaeger:
Peggy Jaeger writes contemporary romances and rom coms about strong women, the families who support them, and the men who can’t live without them.
Family and food play huge roles in Peggy’s stories because she believes there is nothing that holds a family structure together like sharing a meal…or two…or ten. Dotted with humor and characters that are as real as they are loving, Peggy brings all aspects of life into her stories: life, death, sibling rivalry, illness, and the desire for everyone to find their own happily ever after. Growing up the only child of divorced parents she longed for sisters, brothers and a family that vowed to stick together no matter what came their way. Through her books, she has created the families she wanted as that lonely child.
As a lifelong diarist, she caught the blogging bug early on, and you can visit her at peggyjaeger.com where she blogs daily about life, writing, and stuff that makes her go "What??!"
What inspires you to write?
I truly believe every single person deserves a happily ever after if they want it and because of that, I am always looking for new ways for people to fall in love!
Tell us about your writing process.
I am a registered nurse by trade so I am highly attuned to the scientific process. Because of that, I am a master planner – plotter. Before I ever set a word on a page in a new book I've already plotted the entire thing out, developed character profiles for my main characters and side people, and made a Pinterest page based on what I think my characters look like. From that blueprint, I work. This is the reason I've been able to produce almost 25 book sin 5 years. I write fast because everything is already planned out.
How do you develop your characters?
As I mentioned above, before I ever write a word I have an idea of what my people will look like because I've developed a PInterest page for them. My characters are fully fleshed out – they have foibles, faults, dreams, and pasts. I know their life desires, their failures and how they think.
